THR 102 - Introduction to Black Theatre in America

Description: (Dual listed with AFR 190) An introduction to the literature and artists of the contemporary African American theatre. The course includes representative playwrights, actors and technicians as speakers in the class and field trips to theatre productions. Students have the opportunity to work in at least one production per semester, selected from contemporary African American drama which may, whenever possible, be performed in the community.
