Description: A study of the development of dance as an art form from the Romantic Era at the end of the 19th century to the contemporary scene. Representative choreographers, dance theories, trends and personalities are discussed. The course includes film shows and subsequent seminar discussion related to the films, as well as practical workshops for exploring movement concepts and styles.
