Dean's Honor List

After the completion of each fall and spring semester, outstanding scholastic achievement is recognized through the compilation of the Dean's Honor List. This Honor is noted on the student's permanent transcript of record.

To qualify, full-time students must have completed a minimum of 12 credits per semester in residence and have attained a 3.5 semester average or higher, with no grades of Withdrawal ("W"), Unofficial Withdrawal ("WU"), Failure ("F"), Unsatisfactory ("U"), Unofficial Withdrawal for Non-Credit Remedial Courses ("UU"), Never Attended ("NA") or Incomplete ("INC"). Further, it is important to note that students must be in good academic standing and that repeated courses will not be counted as credits attempted for the purpose of compiling the Dean's Honor List.

Part-time students are also eligible for the Dean's Honor List provided they attain a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.5 or greater, and are otherwise in good academic standing. The GPA for part-time students is calculated upon the completion of each 12 semester credits, without respect to the number of semesters the student has been in attendance. Eligibility for the Dean's Honor List is recalculated after each 12 additional credits attempted (12 credits, 24 credits, 36 credits, 48 credits, 60 credits). It is important to note that each 12 semester hour block of credits attempted may not include grades of withdrawal ("W"), Unofficial Withdrawal ("WU"), Failure ("F"), Unsatisfactory ("U"), Unofficial Withdrawal for Non-Credit Remedial Courses ("UU"), Never Attended ("NA") or Incomplete ("INC"). Repeated courses will not be counted as credits attempted for the purpose of compiling the Dean's Honor List.
