Engineering Science (A.S.)

Engineering Science (A.S.) - Curriculum content and the overall program have been reviewed and endorsed by the New York State Association of Engineering Colleges. As such, qualified graduates transfer as juniors to numerous outstanding accredited engineering colleges in New York State. This list includes transfer to such institutions as Polytechnic Institute, Manhattan College, Rochester Institute of Technology, Cornell University, Columbia University, Clarkson University, Hofstra University, Syracuse University, Union College, New York Institute of Technology, SUNY at Stony Brook, SUNY Maritime, SUNY at Buffalo and SUNY at Binghamton. The program is also accepted with liberal arts transfer credit at out-of-state accredited schools of engineering such as Penn State and the Stevens Institute of Technology.

    * If Civic Discourse was not completed by the fourth semester, the course must also have the SCIV attribute.
  4. ENS 106 is recommended.
  5. Students transferring to programs requiring two Natural Science courses should take a Natural Science elective here (CHE 152 recommended). The General Education Elective will then be taken in the 4th semester in place of the ENS, MAT, CSC, or Natural Science Elective.
  6. For Electrical Engineering, take ELT 214 in the 2nd semester and ELT 217 in the 3rd semester. The General Education Elective will then be taken in the 4th semester in place of the ENS, MAT, CSC, or Natural Science Elective.
  7. For Computer Engineering, take CSC 120 instead.
  8. For Computer Engineering, take CSC 130 instead.
  9. For Chemical or Environmental Engineering, choose a Natural Science course from the approved electives list instead.
  10. For Computer or Electrical Engineering, choose a CSC or MAT course from the approved electives list instead.
  11. For Computer Engineering, choose a CSC course from the approved electives list instead.
