Health Services

The Student Health Office is located next to the “U” building and the NCC Theatre. The Health Records Office is located in the Student Service Center in the lower level of the tower and is open during peak registration times. Students can submit their immunization records at the Health Records Office and the Student Health Office. The Student Health Office is staffed by registered nurses. Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 3:45 pm. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to closing.

New York State Public Health Law requires that students born on or after January 1, 1957 and enrolled in six or more credits must file proof of immunizations against measles, mumps and rubella and complete a meningitis survey. Failure to comply with this law will result in a student’s disenrollment from classes without a refund of tuition and fees.

The Student Health Office provides emergency, urgent care to students. Consultations and referrals to appropriate health facilities are made for students. Over the counter medications (OTC) are available to students 18 years and older. Consent forms for students under 18 years of age are available to be notarized by a parent/guardian to receive care and OTC medications.

Health related literature and pamphlets are available. Immunizations forms, physical education waivers (gym waivers), allied health, nursing, mortuary science and all sports physical exam forms are screened by the staff nurses. Health insurance information is available at the Student Health Office. Accident claim forms are available to student athletes who have been injured while participating in an NCC sponsored activity.
