PSY 206 - Educational Psychology

Prerequisites: PSY 203.

Description: (Dual listed with EDU 206).
Students who have taken PSY 206 will not receive credit for EDU 206. This course is intended to provide knowledge and understanding of the major theories and findings of the science of Educational Psychology. The course includes a consideration of such topics as: research methods in educational psychology; the cognitive, personal, social and moral development of students; the impact of student diversity on teaching and learning; the principles and processes of learning; motivational concerns in education; classroom management; techniques of teaching; and methods of assessing student learning.
